Sophomores from Pioneer Career and Technology Center’s 14 partner schools–Buckeye Central, Bucyrus, Colonel Crawford, Crestline, Crestview, Galion, Lexington, Lucas, Northmor, Ontario, Plymouth, Shelby, Willard and Wynford–are scheduled to visit Pioneer January 24 through January 26. Open House is scheduled for January 26, 6:00-8:00 pm with a second-look Open House on February 28 6:00-7:30 pm. Priority enrollment ends on February 17.
During sophomore visits, students choose from over 35 career tech labs and see firsthand some of the options available for the students’ junior and senior years of high school. Many of our labs help students earn industry certifications and college credits while providing a hands-on education. There are also many College Credit Plus classes offered, at Pioneer enabling students to graduate with additional college credits.
Students at Pioneer Career and Technology Center participate in clubs, activities and sports at their partner school, as well as participating in activities and clubs at Pioneer including Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Student Council, Business Professionals of America (BPA), Future Farmers of America (FFA), SkillsUSA and more.
