Due to weather Pioneer Career and Technology Center has moved their Open Houses and College Credit Plus meeting to Tuesday, March 3. We invite all area sophomores that are interested in Pioneer to attend the “Second Look” Open House on Tuesday, March 3 from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Pioneer. Visitors will get a chance to visit any of the over 30 program labs that are located here at Pioneer that interest them, meet with instructors and administrators, and even apply online that evening. If a student is interested in our Performing Arts program, we encourage students to go to our Performing Arts Open House on Tuesday, March 3 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Visitors will get a chance to explore the amazing Performing Arts building, meet the instructors and even apply online that evening. If a student is interested in our CollegeNOW Business program, we encourage students to go to their Open House on Tuesday, March 3 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in room 216 of the Kehoe Center. Visitors will get a chance to explore the Kehoe Center, meet the instructor and even apply online that evening. The Kehoe Center is located at 175 Mansfield Ave. Shelby. Our College Credit Plus meeting (to earn college credit) has been cancelled for tonight and moved to Tuesday, March 3 as well. The meeting with be at 6 p.m. in Pioneer’s cafeteria for any incoming junior or senior that is interested in taking college classes. Representatives from Marion Technical College and NC State College will be present that evening. Classes are Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Psychology, Sociology, and other lab related courses.
