United Way of Crawford County is teaming up with 1803 Taproom (123 Harding Way E, Galion, OH 44833) on Thursday, January 26 for a night of fun 5:00pm to 10:00pm. The 1803 Taproom will host a salsa challenge and give 15% of proceeds for drink sales to United Way of Crawford County.
The 1803 Taproom (owner Chris Stone) has been holding events to support local causes. Chris wants to use his business to help those organizations who help our great community. On top of craft beer sales the salsa challenge will be another fun part of this event. The salsa challenge will be between Galion superintendent James Grubbs and local business owner Pennie Fox (Fox Plumbing & Heating). Each will bring their salsa and compete for the people’s favorite of the two.
The salsa will be voted on by donating to vote (recommended one dollar) for the winner so bring your cash to cast your vote. The winner will be the salsa with the most donations. All proceeds from this challenge will go to the United Way of Crawford County.
United Way of Crawford County funds twenty-four local agencies who tackle issues in our communities. The issues are categorized by Education, Income, Health & Safety Net services. Agencies like Ohio Heartland Community Action (Galion) and Community Counseling Services Inc. (Bucyrus) who provide services here in Crawford County. While also helping with small grants for program of specific needs like the Crestline Water Dogs Swim Team.
