Press release

The Eighteen-O-Three Taproom, located at 123 Harding Way East in Uptowne Galion, will host its first ever “Pints for a Purpose” event Friday, October 7. The event begins at 5:00 p.m., and will benefit the Galion Public Library.

“Pints for a Purpose” is a program the local business is starting to help support Galion and Crawford County non-profit organizations. The idea is one the taproom’s owner found through social media.

“I saw this event with an Ohio craft brewery on Facebook, and they were donating a percentage of sales to their local elementary school Parent-Teacher Organization,” said Eighteen-O-Three Taproom owner Chris Stone. “We have been incredibly blessed with outstanding community support, and this is just one way we can show our gratitude.”

The event will end at 9:00 p.m., and Stone will present a check to the Galion Public Library for 15% of his business’ gross sales shortly after that time. Representatives from the library will be on-hand throughout the evening promoting the organization’s many wonderful events.

“This is the first fundraising event like this for us, and we’re excited the library has agreed to partner with us,” said Stone. “The Galion Public Library is a vitally important resource for our community, and I hope everyone from Galion and Crawford County will come out and enjoy a pint of Ohio craft beer to help us give back.”
