The Galion Police Department is warning residents to keep an eye on their pets as those animals may be in danger from an unexpected, and at this point, an unknown source.

The Galion Police Department’s Facebook page is warning residents that there have been multiple reports of pets being poisoned. Those reports have originated on the north side of Galion in the area of North Market, North Union and Erie streets. Thus far, two dogs are reported to have died as a result of being poisoned.

Police are asking the public to report anyone who is acting in a suspicious manner by calling 419-468-5255. Please try to note where the incident was observed, the direction the person in question was traveling, what they were doing and a description of the person or persons involved.
