BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Peoples Savings and Loan Company has announced the successful conclusion of its annual Giving Tree campaign, resulting in a major donation to support local youth in the foster care system.

Throughout November and December, the financial institution led a series of community-focused initiatives to benefit the Butterfly Foundation, a Bucyrus-based non-profit dedicated to providing essentials and comfort items for children entering or currently within the foster care system.

The campaign featured several staff-led fundraisers, including “Jeans for a Cause” days, an Ohio State University staff attire challenge, and the bank’s annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. A key partnership with local business High Voltage Coffee also bolstered the effort, with a portion of sales from November contributed directly to the foundation.

As a result of these combined efforts, the campaign collected and donated more than 100 new pairs of pajamas. According to bank officials, these items will be distributed to children in Crawford County to provide comfort during difficult transitions.

The Butterfly Foundation was founded to assist foster parents and caseworkers by providing new clothing, socks, and gifts for children who often enter emergency placements with very few personal belongings.
