At the April meeting “Sunshine on My Shoulders” Peas-in-a-Pod junior gardeners made simple sun hats from fabric circle then tried them on. A second project was fashioning a 2-liter bottle into a unit to sow seeds and nurture young plants. The children planted tender lettuce plants and took along seed packets given them by the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs. Janet Nance, Trisha Goldfuss, and Mary Lee Minor of the sponsoring Earth, Wind and Flowers Garden Club provided activity support. Karen Spore read the book by Chris Canyon with the titled theme.
