BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Pastor Hunter Hickman, 32, of Bucyrus, appeared via video in the Crawford County Common Pleas Court from the Crawford County Jail.
Hickman is now charged with a new third-degree felony of intimidation of an attorney, victim, or witness in a criminal case, which is punishable by up to 36 months in jail. He is already under indictment from July for a fifth-degree felony of voyeurism, a charge that carries a maximum penalty of up to 12 months in prison.
The indictment for the newest charge reads:
“Hunter Hickman, did knowingly and by force or by unlawful threat of harm to any person or property, or by unlawful threat to commit any offense or calumny against any person, to wit: (victim name redacted), attempt to influence, intimidate, or hinder a witness to a criminal or delinquent act by reason of the person being a witness to that act, in violation of 2921.04(B)(2) and 2921.04(D) of the Revised Code, INTIMIDATION OF AN ATTORNEY, VICTIM, OR WITNESS IN A CRIMINAL CASE, a felony of the third degree.”
Hickman previously served as the Chaplain for the Galion Police Department but was relieved of his duties in August 2023 when Chief Ryan Strange took over. He was also affiliated with Real Life Naz and the Galion Church of the Nazarene, from which he was removed and banned from serving in any Nazarene church.
Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold set Hickman’s bond at $100,000. If he posts bond, he must be fitted with a GPS device.
