The Crawford Park District has rescheduled the Bird Banding: Saw-whet Owl program. The program originally scheduled for this Saturday has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Lowe-Volk Park.
For the 4th year, the Crawford Park District welcomes bird bander Bob Scott Placier, who will bring his nets, knowledge, and research to gain some insight into Saw‑whet Owls in Crawford County. Since 2003, Bob has been working with Saw‑whets near Chillicothe, contributing his research to a national organization, Owlnet. The program will start inside with a brief PowerPoint, and then move outside where calling tapes will hopefully draw in Ohio’s smallest owl. Fun for the whole family.
Lowe-Volk Park is located 3 miles north of US Route 30. For more information contact the Crawford Park District office at 419-683-9000.
