The Crawford Park District will have an archeological expedition and the public is invited to take part.

Park District Naturalist Chris Rothhaar and professional archeologist Stephen Biel from Ohio Valley Archeologists will excavate the site of the former Dapper Cabin, thought to have been built circa 1841. That cabin which was located off of Remlinger Road, is currently being reconstructed on the Colonel Crawford campus.

Three different dates have been set for the dig, June 28, July 26 and Aug. 23. Those interested should meet at the Lowe-Volk Nature Center at 9 a.m. Bring gloves, tape measures, and trowels, if you have them.

For additional information contact the Park District office at 419-683-9000.
