The first weekend in November it will be all about the birds at the Crawford Park District’s Lowe-Volk Park.
On Friday evening, Nov. 6, Bob Scott Placier will be holding another bird banding expedition as part of his on-going saw-whet owl study. Project Owlnet monitors migratory ecology and population dynamics of the Northern Saw-whet Owl.
On the following day, Nov. 7, Placier will return to Lowe-Volk for more bird banding and the fall songbird survey.
Both of the events are open for public participation. Friday night’s event begins at 6 and Saturday’s at 7:30 in the morning.
