BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio State Highway Patrol conducted an OVI checkpoint on County Road 330, west of U.S. 30 and east of Stetzer Road, in Crawford County on Saturday, August 17, 2024. The checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, aimed to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
During the checkpoint, troopers checked 290 vehicles, resulting in one OVI arrest. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds everyone to designate a driver or make other travel arrangements if they plan to consume alcohol. “Don’t let another life be lost due to the senseless and selfish act of driving impaired,” officials emphasized.
