BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Ohio State Highway Patrol Dispatcher Stephanie J. Evans has been selected as the 2025 Dispatcher of the Year at the Bucyrus Dispatch Center as well as the Highway Patrol’s Bucyrus District.

The selection of Dispatcher Evans, 45, is in recognition of her outstanding service during 2025 at the Bucyrus Dispatch Center. Fellow co-workers and troopers assigned at the Bucyrus and Marion Post chose Dispatcher Evans based on her leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.

Dispatcher Evans is now in contention for the State Dispatcher of the Year Award to be announced at a later date.

Dispatcher Evans joined the Highway Patrol in 2005 and has served in the Bucyrus District throughout her career. Originally from Bucyrus, Dispatcher Evans is a graduate of Colonel Crawford High School.

She and her husband, Matt, reside in Crestline, Ohio with their children Clayton, Carley, and Carter.
