The math in Common Pleas Court keeps on adding up and Monday morning the sum total was five defendants who pleaded guilty.

Forrest Elliott Jr. was back in court and pleaded guilty to a breaking and entering charge. The 35-year-old Elliot had just been released from prison for a breaking and entering conviction and was sentenced to another six months on the latest charge. Elliott will receive credit for 78 days served in the county jail. He was released from custody and must report on Friday to begin serving his latest sentence.

Twenty-one-year-old Stephanie Arbogast was placed on the intervention in lieu of conviction program for two years. Arbogast pleaded guilty to a possession of drugs charge involving heroin. Arbogast’s plea will be held by the court while on intervention. Should she successfully complete the program, the charge will be dismissed with no conviction.

Three people received community control following their guilty pleas.

Nineteen-year-old Stephen Fletcher was placed on three years of community control after he was found guilty of receiving stolen property. Twenty-five-year-old James Elswick of Ontario also pleaded guilty to a charge of receiving stolen property. Elswick’s charge was a felony 4 offense because it involved firearms. Elswick was also sentenced to three years of community control. He must also complete a drug and alcohol assessment and any recommended follow-up treatment.

Fifty-three-year-old Russell Gledhill of rural Galion pleaded guilty to felony domestic violence and was placed on two years of community control. As part of his community control Gledhill must also complete a drug and alcohol assessment and any recommended follow-up treatment.
