Press release

Children of all ages are invited to “One-Starry Night: Come BELIEVE in the First Christmas,” Friday, November 18 from 5 to 8:30 p.m., before and after the Santa Parade, inside at 111 S. Sandusky Ave. in downtown Bucyrus.

Mary, Joseph, shepherds, kings, angels and villagers will all be there to welcome visitors and guide them through this reenactment of the first Christmas night in Bethlehem.  Come take a selfie with the Christmas Angels, pray with the kings, receive a free Bible from the Gideons, learn about the first night through a candy-cane story by the shepherds, and receive a personalized “believe” ornament at the stable.

Visitors are also welcome to free hot chocolate and to join the Praise Team in singing Christmas Carols after the parade.

This is the fifth presentation of “One Starry Night” sponsored by Your Bucyrus Neighborhood Churches. Participating churches include: Bucyrus United Methodist Church, Father’s Heart Healing Center, First Baptist Church of Bucyrus, First Presbyterian Church, Good Hope Lutheran Church, New Day Ministry, St. John’s United Church of Christ, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and The Salvation Army.

The churches thank Phil Gerber and First Federal Community Bank for the use of the building, which is the former Clady’s Drug Store location.
