BUCYRUS — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Bucyrus on Wednesday morning.
According to Bucyrus Police Department Capt. Neil Assenheimer, an eyewitness confirmed a black SUV was traveling westbound on Hopley Avenue when the driver drove through a red light and struck a gold Chevrolet Malibu.
The Malibu was traveling southbound on South East Street and had a green light traffic signal.
The driver of the Malibu was transported to Bucyrus Community Hospital by Portsmouth Emergency Ambulance Service. A female juvenile was transported to the hospital for precautionary measures.
The driver of the SUV, Brandy Dye of Bucyrus, was cited for driving under suspension. Assenheimer said the case will be referred to the law director for possible additional charges.
A male juvenile in the SUV also was uninjured in the crash.
Hensley Towing removed both vehicles from the scene.
The Bucyrus Fire Department also responded to the scene.
