COLUMBUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Ohioans have voted in favor of State Issue 1, which protects women’s right to make their own health care decisions. Senator Sherrod Brown released a statement in response to the decision, stating that “women’s health care decisions should be between them and their doctors, not politicians.” He also expressed his commitment to fighting for Ohioans’ rights in the U.S. Senate.
SBA Pro-Life America, on the other hand, has criticized the passage of Issue 1, claiming that it was due to a campaign of fear run by abortion activists and outside Democrat donors. They alleged that the campaign falsely claimed that women would die without Issue 1, which put pregnant women at risk by sowing confusion.
