COLUMBUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio State Fair is set to deliver a diverse range of entertainment, competitive livestock shows, and interactive experiences on Wednesday, July 30, promising a full day of activities for fairgoers. Grammy-winning artist T-Pain will headline the evening concert series.
Free Live Entertainment for All Ages
Fair attendees can enjoy continuous free performances across multiple stages throughout the day. Highlights include:
- Angela Perley Duo: The alternative country musicians will perform on the Ohio Lottery Gazebo Stage at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- Bill Foley: Experience a nostalgic journey with hits from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s at 1:30 p.m. in the Natural Resources Park Amphitheater.
Additional free entertainment can be found on the Main Street Stage, Taste of Ohio Stage presented by the Ohio Environmental Council, the Cincinnati Circus Company at the south end of the Mountain Dew Midway (new this year), and the chainsaw carver in Kiddieland (also new). Exciting Livestock Competitions
Tomorrow’s livestock schedule features several popular events:
- Ronald McDonald House Celebrity Steer Show: Witness this charitable event at 4 p.m. in the Voinovich Livestock & Trade Center presented by Ag-Pro Companies.
- Draft Horses: The Ag-Pro Companies Taft Coliseum will host Team Classes at 2 p.m. and the Multi-Horse Hitches Draft Horse Show at 6 p.m.
- “Battle for the Bacon” Legislative Pig Showmanship: This unique competition takes place at 6 p.m. in the O’Neill Swine Building.
Explore Natural Resources Park
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Natural Resources Park offers interactive and educational activities. Children aged 14 and under can try fishing for bluegill with provided equipment. Visitors can also participate in the long-standing fair tradition of taking a photo with the iconic Smokey Bear.
