COLUMBUS—Calling all dog-lovers! The 2022 Ohio State Fair has the perfect entertainment for you. New to this year, the venue known previously as the Showplace Pavilion has undergone a name change and is now called The Dog House, featuring canine entertainment every day of the Ohio State Fair, July 27 – Aug. 7, with two new attractions, Canine Class and The Marvelous Mutts entertaining throughout the day.

The Marvelous Mutts is a talented team of rescue dogs who have performed on Animal Planet, The Late Show, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and more. Their show, held every day at Noon, 2 p.m., and 6 p.m., is sure to entertain all ages, with its variety of impressive canine tricks and stunts. Nadja Palenzuela, one of the founders of the Marvelous Mutts, tells about her love for rescue dogs and how the team got started, in an episode of the Ohio State Fair podcast, “A Fair to Remember.”

Canine Class is a 30-minute demonstration taught by nationally ranked dog trainers daily at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. Throughout the Fair, two different experts, Sara Carson and Chrissy Joy, will teach the Canine Class. Both are renowned experts who have trained dogs across the United States.

There is additional entertainment starring dogs available both weekends of the Ohio State Fair. On Saturdays and Sundays, be sure to stop by Natural Resources Park amphitheater for the Retriever Dogs in Action! show with different land and water tricks. The Columbus All-Breed Dog Agility show will set record speeds as they run, jump, and crawl through different agility courses on the Rhodes Center Lawn at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, and Sunday, July 31.
