BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—McDonald’s owner/operators throughout Ohio are gearing up for the third annual High School Digital Fundraiser Day on Wednesday, Oct. 23, with plans to raise thousands of dollars for local high school athletics.
The regional fundraiser will see 273 schools across Ohio, including Bucyrus High School, earn 10 percent of all sales purchased through the McDonald’s app during the one-day event. Each identified high school will receive a minimum donation of $250.
McDonald’s owner/operators in Ohio created the fundraiser as a way to support high school athletics in the communities their locally owned restaurants serve. Each restaurant has chosen a high school in its community to benefit from its portion of the digital sales.
“We are proud to be continuing this partnership with our local schools,” said McDonald’s Owner/Operator Jessica Hall. “We’ve seen lots of success with the fundraiser in our restaurants, and have received great feedback from schools, too. Our hope is that the local communities will continue to come out and support their local schools, and help us make the High School Digital Fundraiser Day a success throughout the state.”
The initiative encourages customers to use the McDonald’s app, which is available for download in the Apple App Store and the Android Google Play Store. The app offers users exclusive deals, the ability to order ahead with Mobile Order & Pay, and the chance to earn points with MyMcDonald’s Rewards to redeem for free food. Customers can also customize their orders as needed.
