ONTARIO, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. is set to host a Senior Spring Extravaganza on May 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Richland County Fairgrounds in Mansfield. This free event, held in recognition of Older Americans Month, offers guests a variety of activities and resources.

This year’s event holds special significance as it not only marks the celebration of Older Americans Month but also commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging. In honor of this milestone, the event theme this year is the 1970s.

The 2024 theme for Older Americans Month, named by the Administration for Community Living (ACL), is “Powered by Connection!” To celebrate older adults and the Agency’s 50th anniversary, the event will feature an on-site classic car show, entertainment by Fusion Marketing Group, brunch, a resource fair, BINGO, and much more.

To participate in the car show, interested parties are asked to call 567-247-6487 to register. While registration is not required to attend the event, early arrivals are discouraged. Doors open at 9 AM.
