The Crawford County Special Response Team, along with METRICH officers from the Bucyrus and Galion Police Departments and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, converged and surrounded a house in the 400 block of West Mansfield Street Thursday afternoon around 4 p.m.

A search warrant was executed at the gold-colored home where officers searched for heroin and other drugs.

According to Bucyrus Police Chief Dave Koepke, the house has been the scene for several recent heroin overdoses.

Four people were arrested including, Joseph Phillips, Joseph Grasley, and Heather Grasley. Heather was taken to Bucyrus Community Hospital for treatment as she is 7-months pregnant, according to Koepke. All three are facing a multitude of charges including possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, and tampering with evidence. A fourth man was also taken into custody and may face charges.

Koepke said he appreciates the help of the neighborhood watch group in the area of the residence, located at 409 W. Mansfield Street, and owned by Ron Wert.

Koepke also said Wert may be facing building code violations and has been put on notice of the drug bust at his property.
