The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is proposing an improvement project to state Route 19 in Crawford County. ODOT intends to replace the existing roadway culvert pipe on State Route 19 just north of County Road 5 (New Washington Rd.) and will not require any new right-of-way to be completed. Construction is expected to begin on September 2, 2014. During the construction of this project, a detour will be necessary.
As part of the National Environmental Policy Act, ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental and economic impacts of the proposed project. Environmental impacts include those associated with historical, archeological and ecological resources, hazardous materials and general concerns residents may have with the project.
Written comments concerning the proposed project may be mailed to Levi Wingler, District Environmental Specialist, at 906 Clark Ave., Ashland, 44805; by phone at 800-276-4188; or by e-mail at Levi.Wingler@dot.state.oh.us. Any comments must be received by July 16, 2014 in order to be considered.
