The Ohio Department of Transportation announced the following updates to the construction projects in Crawford County.
SR 61/SR 309 (Portland Way South) from Harding Way to Grove Avenue in the City of Galion is closed for southbound traffic as part of the rehabilitation and widening project. Northbound traffic is reduced to a one-way street. Traffic use Harding Way, State Route 19 and State Route 288 as alternate routes. The project is expected to be complete in November 2014.
State Route 598, just north of State Route 19 in the City of Galion, will close Monday, August 18 for bridge reconstruction as part of this project. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 598 to State Route 19, west on SR 19 to State Route 602, north on SR 602 to US Route 30, east on US 30 to SR 598, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen November 17, 2014.
US 30, between the County Road 330 interchange and West Fourth Street interchange in Richland County, is reduced to one lane of traffic as part of a resurfacing project. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all time in each direction. The project is expected to be complete in October 2014.
SR 598, just north of State Route 96 in Vernon Township, is closed for a bridge replacement. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 598 to SR 96, east on SR 96 to State Route 39, west on SR 39 to SR 598, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen in mid-October 2014.
