GALION — The National Weather Service in Cleveland confirmed a tornado touchdown Wednesday.

Investigators determined the storm to be an EF-0, which is a tornado that produces light damage with winds between 65 and 85 miles per hour.

The tornado’s track appeared to have began near the intersection of North Columbus and Grant Streets, traveling southeast before dissipating over Second Avenue.

City of Galion Utility Crews were able to repair downed power lines within a matter of hours.

No injuries were reported.
