BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A Marion found out he’s not in the Marion court system anymore when he appeared before Judge Sean Leuthold on Wednesday in the Crawford County Common Pleas Court.
Douglas W. Criswell, 41, of Marion, was arrested on August 29th by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest followed an investigation into five separate reports of vehicle break-ins that occurred on August 25.
Items were reported stolen from vehicles throughout the county. Criswell was charged with two fourth-degree felonies for theft, each with a possible sentence of up to 18 months in prison, as well as first-degree misdemeanors of breaking and entering and theft.
Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold sentenced Criswell to 20 months in prison. Criswell will receive credit for jail time served.
