There also will be wellness displays and member business displays. A free dinner will be served from 4 to 6 p.m.

The 80th annual business meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature reports from North Central General Manager Markus Bryant, Board President Duane Frankart, Buckeye Power President and CEO Pat O’Loughlin and People Fund Chairman Rex Grasz. The event is open to cooperative members and their families. Registration will open at 1 p.m. All children will be issued a wrist band upon registration in order to participate in youth activities.

Members will officially elect three members to serve three-year terms on the cooperative’s Board of Trustees. The three trustee candidates are running unopposed.

In District 4, Rodney Snavely, 47, of Adams Township has been a board member since 2001 and the cooperative treasurer since 2012. He is employed with the Sandusky International Division of MetalTek International. District 4 includes Adams, Bloom and Scipio townships in Seneca County and Green Creek Township in Sandusky County.

In District 6, Michael Scherger, 35, of Liberty Township is running for his first term. A life-long famer, he is Vice President of Scherger Farms and responsible for grain marketing, input buying and the everyday business management of the farm. He is currently a Liberty Township Trustee. District 6 includes Hopewell, Liberty and Seneca townships in Seneca County.
