The call log for the Galion Police Department on Wednesday sounded like a broken record: car broken into.

Galion police officers responded to nine calls about parked cars being broken into. In addition they had another call about a generator being stolen out of a garage.

Most of the reports of cars being broken into occurred in the south end of Galion. Six of the calls were from residents on South Market Street and three of those were in the 900 block. Another call came in about a purse and its contents being thrown all over a yard in the 1000 block.

Other reports of cars being broken into came in from Hartman Street, South Boston and South Street.
