The nicer weather did not mean complete smooth sailing for the Bucyrus Police Department during the Bratwurst Festival with officers arresting nine people between Friday and Sunday.
Those arrested Friday included: fifty-three-year-old Norris Welch, of Shreveport, LA (domestic violence). Saturday arrests were: twenty-four-year-old Spencer B. Church, of Bucyrus (disorderly conduct); thirty-three-year-old Michelle L. Hickman, of Marion (obstructing); twenty-four-year-old Dustin R. Griffin, of Bucyrus (disorderly conduct); twenty-nine-year-old Benjamin Fogle, of Bucyrus (disorderly conduct); and eighteen-year-old Casey Gibson (Crawford County warrant). Sunday arrests were: thirty-three-year-old Jason S. Olmstead, of Bucyrus (domestic violence); Pamela J. Cook, of Bucyrus (obstructing official business); and Jason E. Boyd, of Bucyrus (shoplifting).
Bucyrus Police Chief Dave Koepke reported that there were fewer arrests made this year and no serious arrests or injuries occurred during the three-day festivities.
Bucyrus police and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office arrested six people on various unrelated charges between Aug. 20 and 22.
Bucyrus police arrested thirty-three-year-old Frederick Miller on domestic violence charges. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kyle M. Justice, of Galion, Tuesday morning for domestic violence. Both men were taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to await a court appearance.
Bucyrus police arrested three people on various charges Wednesday. Twenty-five-year-old Willie Dean was arrested on a warrant out of Morrow County. Zachary Allan Morgan, of Upper Sandusky, was arrested for a protection order violation while officers arrested Crystal Dawn Dean, of Bucyrus, for possession of heroin, possession of drug abuse instruments, and obstruction of justice. All three are being held for court at the Crawford County Justice Center.
Charles Alexander Tyler may have been pulled over for a routine traffic stop Thursday but his final destination of the day may not have been as he planned. Bucyrus police arrested Tyler for drug possession and possession of drug abuse instruments after pulling him over for a traffic stop on North Sandusky Avenue.
