The Central Joint Ambulance District Committee will be waiting a few more weeks to find out if Auburn Township, Cranbury Township and New Washington will be entering into contract with the district.
The CJAD was notified that New Washington is having its lawyer review the contract before that Village Council votes on a resolution to agree to a contract with the CJAD. As a result of the delay, Auburn Township and Cranbury Township will hold off on approving the contract until New Washington’s Council’s resolution goes through.
Bucyrus City Safety/Service Director Jeff Wagner notified the CJAD that Bucyrus will be renewing its contract with the ambulance district for three years.
In LifeStar Ambulance report Cory Wright reported to the CJAD that in preparation of Auburn Township, Cranbury Township, and New Washington joining the CJAD that the Tier 3 areas had been moved in with the Tier 2 areas for the month of March to make sure that drive times from the station are realistic.
Sandusky Township Representative to the CJAD Jason Long asked, “If the CJAD is looking to outpost a squad should the CJAD have control over the lease price?”
Committee President Ron Miller explained, “We are not sure when we going to get an outpost, as it has to go up to bid first.”
The CJAD agreed to bring in County Prosecutor Matt Crall at the May CJAD Committee meeting to begin work for assisting in the bidding process.
The Next CJAD Committee Meeting will be held at 6:30 May 21, at the Plymouth Street Ambulance Station.
