BUCYRUS – The owner of a new business in downtown Bucyrus believes that beautiful skin shouldn’t have to break the bank.
Kiley Dostal, an esthetician, has recently opened Luxe Facial Bar at 118 W. Warren St. The business offers an array of facial treatments, including dermaplaning and chemical peels, plus other cosmetic procedures for the face, eyebrows, and eyelashes.
“Skincare is important,” said Dostal, a Bucyrus native who officially started accepting her first clients at Luxe Facial Bar on March 16. “It used to be looked at mostly as a luxury thing, but if you only do it a few times, you really can’t realize the benefits of it.”

Dostal, who received her training at Mason Anthony School of Cosmetology in Hilliard, said her goal is to help people feel “LUXEurious” in their own skin. But in doing so, she said, the treatments have to be affordable for anyone walking through the door.
“It’s important for me to create not only an easeful, results-driven experience, but also one that is modestly priced and affordable for all,” Dostal said. “I feel if it’s more cost-effective, you can definitely see better results and feel better about yourself.”
Dostal has transformed the 300-square-foot space she rents into a calming retreat – ivory and gray colors accented by a “brick” wall which is actually wallpaper. The clean lines and neutral colors compliment the hardwood floor of her “minimalist” décor.

Luxe Facial Bar also offers microcurrent technology to tighten and tone facial muscles, she said, as well as hydro-dermabrasion and nano-needling, which help remove scarring and smooth the skin’s surface. Brow waxing and lash lifts and tints are popular add-on services, she said.
Dostal, a 2000 Bucyrus High School graduate, went on to earn a degree in fashion merchandising from The Ohio State University. She was working as an HR recruiter for Avita Health System when she decided to pursue a different career path and become an esthetician.
She finished at Mason Anthony last August and landed an internship at Massage Envy in Columbus. She also worked at Glo’ Facial Bars in Mansfield, which she said allowed her to work with clients while learning and perfecting her non-invasive techniques.

More importantly, she said, her time at Glo’ Facial “ignited an excitement” last fall that led her to open her own pampering business and eventually launch Luxe. “It just all kind of fell into place,” Dostal said. “It was a great stepping-stone, a great experience.”
Dostal, who met her husband, Mike, when she returned to Bucyrus for his sister’s wedding, said she’s thrilled to be working in her hometown. “It’s been a really big blessing. I just feel so humbled and honored to be a part of the community,” she said.
“It’s been great,” she said of business so far. “I don’t know if I had low expectations or what, but I feel very lucky, especially being able to do something I really enjoy.”
