BUCYRUS – A new cleaning service in town is offering clients maid service made easy.
Magnificent Maid, which officially opened on November 7, provides general and deep cleaning services to residential and commercial customers but focuses primarily on business establishments, according to owner Dustin Ritchie.
“There’s a need I knew was there, but I just didn’t realize how much of a need,” said Ritchie, who now makes his home in Bucyrus with his wife, Noel, and two daughters. “It was very eye-opening.”
Ritchie, who had been cleaning homes and offices with his mother in Tiffin, said he finally decided to “go pro” because of the growing demand for cleaning services. He opened a Magnificent Maid office in downtown Tiffin, and the client list started to grow.
“We got so busy, so we decided let’s make this an LLC and get some jobs,” he said. “It created a need for more jobs and it just kind of snowballed from there.”
Since expanding to Crawford County, the company’s workforce has increased to 15 employees, Ritchie said.
They do everything from basic dusting and vacuuming to moving furniture and wiping down walls, windows, and woodwork.
A representative, Ritchie said, always meets with prospective clients first to conduct a walk-through of the space and provide a quote. The rates are on an hourly basis, he said, and the company is fully bonded and insured for extra peace of mind.
Ritchie said he hopes to find a permanent location in Bucyrus for Magnificent Maid, hopefully within the next three months. “I’m really ready to open up a physical location, especially downtown, a brick-and-mortar building,” he said.
“I’m just excited to be a part of the Bucyrus community and service Crawford County. We have big plans and goals. We want to be a community-minded company.”
