BUCYRUS—Two co-defendants from a recent Crestline drug bust were arraigned via video from the Crawford County Justice Center Thursday morning in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.

Judge Sean Leuthold arraigned Gerald Cotsamire, 56, of Crestline, and Sherie Pfleiderer, 57, of Crestline on identical seven-count indictments.

They are each charged with one count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and two counts of aggravated possession of drugs (an excess of 150 grams of Methamphetamines), and each first degree felonies and each punishable with up to 11 years in prison, two counts of having weapons under disability, each third-degree felonies and each punishable with up to three years in prison, one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony of the punishable with up to 18 months in prison and one count of tampering with evidence, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison.

According to Assistant Prosecutor Ryan Hoovler, the couple was initially charged in Municipal Court with one first-degree felony, but upon further investigation, more charges were added. Hoovler told the court that the bust resulted from consistent complaints of drug activity on the dead-end road where Cotsamire resides in Crestline. Cotsamire was allegedly seen running when the bust took place, throwing items away. According to Hoovler, Cotsamire confessed to investigators that he has been giving Methamphetamines away for a couple of months. He admitted that other individuals assisted him in procuring the drugs. Hoovler also told the court that Pfleiderer invoked her right not to speak with officers.

Crawford County Common Pleas Judge Sean Leuthold gave the co-defendants each a $400,000.00 bond. They remain in custody at the Crawford County Jail.
