The streets in Nevada are ready for winter – even if no one else wants to be.
Village council discussed recent street work and what remains to be done. Council member Carl Lambert explained.
“We got three streets that were on schedule to get paved,” Lambert said. “All of our chip and tar was done, everything stayed under budget, all’s we have left to do is get the berming done and make our plans for next year.”
Council also discussed a proposal from the Wyandot East Fire District regarding the tornado siren that was placed in the village this past May. The Fire District wants to work out an agreement involving the tornado siren and utilities for the council building. Council members agreed to discuss the matter further at another meeting.
Volunteers are needed on Oct. 18 for a day of service to the community. Trick or Treat will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 26 and the firemen will be hosting a Costume Contest that evening.
The next Village Council meeting will be at 7p.m. Nov. 11.
