Nevada Village Council announced at its meeting on Monday that paving some streets in that community will begin today.
Council member Harold Lambert said the work would be done by Shelling Company and is being partially funded by Issue One money. The main part of that project will be paving Ayers Street. There is not a set date for completion, but no other paving is scheduled for Nevada until 2016.
Village Council also agreed to move the park curfew from 11 p.m. back to 10 p.m. Also discussed was securing the park through the winter months.
Council member Diane Morgan was also bonded in order to assist Village Clerk Audra Reidlinger. Village council members also agreed to place the tax levy renewal on the ballot.
