A group of Crestline residents attended a public meeting on Monday, Feb. 6 to tell Crestline Village Council how they feel about a zoning change requested by local company Mosier Industrial Services on S. Wiley St.

The company is now zoned for light industrial use. Mosier’s owner has asked the planning commission to rezone the property for heavy industrial use.

Residents of the area who addressed council on Monday objected to the change, citing noise, accumulated junk stored outside, air pollution from an incinerator, heavy equipment traffic, and other concerns currently associated with the business.

Village Administrator Mark Milliron confirmed Mosier is not compliant with current zoning rules and owes fines for non-compliance.

No representative of Mosier spoke on Monday.
