North Central State College has been training health care professionals for decades, and the need continues to expand. In response to this growing industry, more graduates than ever are completing degrees in Radiology Science, Respiratory Care, Registered Nursing and Licensed Practical Nursing. The number of students studying Bioscience, a versatile program with pathways to numerous advanced degrees, continues to increase.

Ten scholarships worth up to $2,000 each are available for students enrolled in the bioscience program. These awards are being funded by a Choose Ohio First (COF) through the Ohio Board of Regents.

For Fall Semester 2015, students can enter these rewarding programs immediately when they meet the minimum criteria for their chosen program. To find out more about program requirements and Choose Ohio First Scholarships, contact the Health Science department at 419-755-4805. We encourage new students to begin the process by July 1 to allow time to complete all of the necessary steps to enroll.

Graduates of every NC State Health Science program perform above the national average on licensure tests. Eighty percent of NC State Health Science graduates are working full-time in their field, while others are working part-time.

Caring for patients as a nurse, radiological technician or respiratory professional are some of the most rewarding careers available in health care. These are demanding careers with rewarding futures for talented, dedicated professionals.
