MANSFIELD, OHIO – Fall Semester 2015 started off strong for nearly 3,000 North Central State College students as classes began on August 24. Throughout the week, numerous events welcomed students back to campus after the summer break.

The number of newly enrolled students increased by more than 150 above Fall 2014.

Enrollment in College Credit Plus (CCP), the dual enrollment program allowing high school students to earn college credit, continued to surge. For Fall 2015, more than 700 students from 26 different high schools are enrolled in CCP.

In addition to CCP, College-NOW students number 102 this year. In College-NOW, students enroll full-time in college during their Junior and Senior years of high school, earning both a high school diploma and an associate degree at the same time.

North Central State College is a public two-year community-based educational institution serving the residents of north central Ohio. The College offers technical education in more than 60 associate degree and certificate programs in Health, Business, Public Service, and Engineering Technologies, as well as transfer degrees in specialized subject areas and customized workforce training.
