On December 4, 2014, North Central State College honored a number of employees for their service.
Faculty Members of the Year Awards were given to Brad Wood (full-time faculty) and Georgiann Mathews (adjunct faculty). The Excellence in Service to Students award was given to Randy Storms. The Excellence in Service to College was presented to the deans and assistant deans of the college: Jim Hull, Kelly Gray, Greg Timberlake, Lynn Jones, Craig Ali, Gregg Busch, Debora Hysell, and Jane Birkholz.
Four employees were honored with Extraordinary Service to College awards: Keith Stoner, Sam Renfroe, Dean Schaad, and Doug Hanuscin.
The North Central State College 2014 Outstanding Staff Member of the Year award was presented to Ted Mecurio, who is completing his 42nd year of continuous service to the college.
Awards were also presented to employees who have reached milestones in their employment with NC State.

- With 10 Years of Service: Deb Hysell and Gina Kamwithi
- With 15 Years of Service: Jennifer Adkins, Joyce Bishop, Doug Kranch, Rita Moore, Margaret Puckett, Michele Schaad, Terri Shafer, Becky Stallard, and Anne Strouth
- 20 Years of Service: Brian Baldridge, Shannon Malec, and Kim Washington
- 25 Years of Service: Betty Hager, Renee Nussbaum, Betty Preston, Mary Rodriguez, Dean Schaad
- 30 Years of Service: Cindy Freeman
