The National Train Day event scheduled for this Sunday in Galion has been moved to a different location due to unforeseen circumstances. The Friends of the Big Four Depot will still host the event with speaker Mark Camp, but it will take place at the First Lutheran Church on South Columbus Street.
Doors will open for the event at 1:30 that afternoon and Camp will speak at 2.
Camp is an associate professor of geology at the University of Toledo and is also the National Director of the Railroad Station Historical Society. He has also authored five books on local railroad history and will have a book signing as well.
All proceeds from activities at Sunday’s National Train Day event will go towards future Big Four Depot restoration and preservation projects.
Light refreshments will be provided. For further information, please call 419-468-2944 or e-mail us at friendsofthebig4depot@gmail.com. You may also find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/FriendsOfTheGalionBigFourDepot.
