MT. GILEAD—The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Crawford County Special Response Team, and the METRICH Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant on Township Road 85 in Perry Township, Mt. Gilead on April 27.
During the search, law enforcement officials seized suspected methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, and suspected suboxone from the residence. They also recovered U.S. currency and counterfeit currency, a stolen vehicle from Delaware County, and several firearms.
David Shilt Jr. and Joshua Peters, both from Mt. Gilead, were arrested and charged with Aggravated Possession of Drugs. The two are currently being held without bond in the Morrow County Correctional Facility.
Sheriff John L. Hinton emphasized the importance of collaboration in these types of investigations and recognized the hard work of the men and women of the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
