NEWS RELEASE:
The following is the meeting report submitted by the news reporter of the Mt. Zion Buckeyes 4-H Club.
The Mt Zion 4-H club held their monthly meeting on March 19, 2018 at Mt. Zion church from 7:00pm-8:00pm.
We started the meeting with a call to order, pledges, roll/call, and the secretary/treasurers report.
Our fundraiser this year will be selling Carle’s Bratwurst. Members were reminded to bring their completed forms and money to the next meeting.
Members were reminded to bring their ideas for tshirt designs to the next meeting.
Enrollment forms were collected, as well as liability forms, and club dues.
There were 3 demonstrations. The members who did demonstrations were: Nate Scheifer, Caity Scheifer, and Marlie Hosey.
We also discussed our annual Outreach Event on March 24th at Nazareth Lutheran Church. We are making blankets, care packages for the nursing home, and chex mix.
Our next meeting will be held at 6:00 pm on April 16 at the church. Everyone was reminded to bring items such as rakes, wheelbarrows, and garden tools. We will be weeding and clearing the cemetery that belongs to the church.
Refreshments and cookies were served and members were dismissed.
