The Bucyrus City Fire Department and the Life Support Team EMS responded to a house fire at 423 Kaler Ave., Bucyrus.

The origin of the fire is under investigation, but the home was fully engulfed and sustained heavy visible damage.

The residents’ son awakened them and got them out of the structure.

 

Resident Dick Adams was transported to Bucyrus Community Hospital for possible smoke inhalation. His wife, Charla, did not require medical attention.

The home is owned by K&K Rentals of Bucyrus. It is not known at this time if the home is insured or if the tenants have rental insurance on their personal property.

The family did not need placement assistance at this time.
