CAREY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)— According to a police report issued on Wednesday, a missing Wyandot County man has been found deceased.
Phillip Joseph Evans, who was reported missing from the 300 block of Cherry Blossom Lane in Carey on Saturday, has been located, but unfortunately, he was found deceased.
The authorities, including officers from the Carey Police Department and Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, conducted extensive searches in and around Carey before discovering the body.
On Tuesday, officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Oakwood Place, where they found the deceased male. The Wyandot County Coroner identified the individual as Evans.
An agent from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation Crime Scene Unit also arrived at the scene. Evans’ body has been transported to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.
Authorities are still investigating this incident. Carey is a village in Wyandot County, with a population of around 3,500 people. It is located approximately 60 miles south of Toledo.
