BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A Millbury man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a fatal crash on U.S. 23 in Crane Township, the Ohio State Highway Patrol announced.

Jacob T. Belsky, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 2:03 p.m.

According to the patrol, Belsky was driving a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound on U.S. 23 when he failed to maintain an assured clear distance and struck the rear of a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia. The Freightliner, driven by Temya Brown, 46, of Southfield, Michigan, had slowed for traffic.

Brown was not injured in the crash. Drugs or alcohol are not suspected factors.

Troopers from the Bucyrus Post are investigating the crash. They were assisted at the scene by the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, Wyandot County EMS, Upper Sandusky Fire Department, and Liverpool Towing.
