UPPER SANDUSKY—Co-workers and friends of Keris Riebel placed flowers in honor of her around a tree in front of the Dollar Tree Store, where Riebel lost her life on New Year’s Day while working as a cashier.

The outpouring of community support continues to grow through written expressions, videos from faith leaders, and a Gofundme site. The site’s goal of $30,000 was far surpassed, with donations totaling more than $70,000 and growing.

In her obituary, Riebel was beautifully memorialized:

“Keris had a great love for Our Lord. She loved the bible and was devoted daily in reading the scriptures.
Her heart for the Lord was reflected in the way she lived life, always having a smile and her loving spirit and kindness for others. She will never be forgotten.”

Funeral services for Keris L. Riebel will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 9, 2023, at the Trinity Baptist Church, Marion, Ohio, with Pastors Daniel McCoy and Paul Altstadt officiating. Burial will be at Nevada Cemetery.

Crawford County Now will continue to cover this developing news story.
