In its second year, Bucyrus businesses were invited to “c’mon down” to Dillinger’s Event Center Wednesday for the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 Celebration of Success.

Celebrating businesses in the Bucyrus area, the Celebration of Success did its versions of Let’s Make a Deal, The Price is Right, and Hollywood Squares which was rechristened Bucyrus Squares and featured Bucyrus Mayor Roger Moore, City Service and Safety Director Jeff Wagner, Council President Sis Love, Law Director Rob Ratliff, Legal Assistant Vicki Dishon City Administrative Assistant Eunice Collene, Fire Chief Jay Keller, Police Chief Dave Koepke, Treasurer Jane Cremeans, and City Auditor Joyce Schifer. The games finished with a showcase showdown amongst contestants.

Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Deb Pinion explained the event’s origins saying, “We for many years had an administrative professional’s day, and that is what today is, but we changed it because we had so many people say I have so many people make my business a huge success, but they are not considered an administrative professional. So we changed the name to Celebration of Success so that we could honor all employees.”

The 2014 Employee of the Year went to Carol Hubble from ESCO.

The 2014 Boss of the year went to Jim Mayes of J&F Construction.

While the fun and games were taking place, lunch was served by celebrity waiters and waitresses from the Bucyrus Area.
