NEWS RELEASE:

On December 7, 2017 at 2200 HRS, Morrow County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Dollar General (4162 SR 229 – Marengo) on an aggravated robbery that had just occurred. A masked male entered the store just before closing time, brandished a handgun, and demanded cash from the employee. The male successfully obtained the cash and no employees were harmed.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20-30 years old, 5’4” – 5’6” tall, with a medium build. He was dressed in dark pants, a dark hoodie with an Under Armour emblem, a black mask, gloves, and sunglasses.

The first responding deputy did arrive on scene within two minutes of being dispatched. Our agency also wishes to thank the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office for the deployment of their tracking K9.
