MARION— Nearly half of the registered Marion County voters turned out for the midterm elections.

Although official results are still to be confirmed, Crawford County Now can report the following results:

Mark Davis defeats Kathy Masters with 69.9% of the vote.

Joan Kasotis wins Marion County Auditor unopposed.

Gary Burton wins Marion County Coroner unopposed.

Judge of the Common Pleas Court ( Family Division) Larry Heiser wins unopposed.

Judge of the Common Pleas Court Matthew Frericks wins unopposed.

The River Valley Renewal Tax Levy fails, with 55.94% of the voters against renewal.

The Marion City Additional Fire Levy passes with 57.76% of the voters approving.

The proposed Tax Levy (additional) Cardington-Lincoln Public Library Marion and Morrow County fails, with 59.84% of voters saying no.

Local Liquor Options for Sunday sales at the Shovel City Drinkery, TJ’s Tobacco, and Raceway Mini Mart in Montgomery Township passed.

Marion’s own Scott Shertzer lost his bid for Treasurer of State to Republican incumbent Robert Sprague.
