DALLAS TOWNSHIP—A Marion man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon near the intersection of Ohio 4, south of Bucyrus, and Ohio 294.
The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of the crash at 4:10 p.m. along with members of the Dallas and Bucyrus Township Volunteer Fire Departments and paramedics from Portsmouth Ambulance Service.
According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, Dean W. Stuckman, 64, was traveling southbound on Ohio 4 on his black 1993 Harley Davidson Electric Glide Classic motorcycle when he was struck by a red 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 74-year-old William E. Creswell of Mount Gilead.
Stuckman was flown to Grant Hospital in Columbus for treatment of his injuries and as of 8:45 p.m. on Monday, the extent of his injuries is unknown. Creswell reported that he had no injuries and was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield at an intersection.
Alcoholic beverages or drugs of abuse are not suspected factors in the crash which remains under investigation. Knecht’s Towing removed the motorcycle from the crash scene.
